Our Solution
ThermoShade’s modular panels integrate advanced passive cooling methods, like phase change materials, to actively manage heat in shaded structures. Our panels can be affixed to free-standing frames, structures or building facades and deliver up to 20 °F of cooler comfort compared to standard awnings. With no water or heavy power needs, it’s built for various climates and locations.

The company was founded by Emily Dinino, who first explored the challenges of extreme heat during her master’s thesis and brings deep expertise in finance and mission-driven technology. COO John Carl contributes over 20 years of leadership in engineering and product development across tech. They are joined by Marybeth Carl, a seasoned sales and business operations executive known for her collaborative, data-driven approach. Together, they lead a dedicated network of innovators, advisors, and partners committed to delivering meaningful, real-world impact.
